Athletics

The Sophia Academy Eagles have soared their way to the top of the competition. Sophia Academy competes within the Atlanta Private Athletic Conference where they regularly place and win championships in multiple sports. Sophia Academy offers Boys' and Girls' Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field, as well as intramural volleyball and basketball.

Sophia Academy encourages all students to develop their athletic ability, believing that athletic participation and achievement improves teamwork, bolsters self-confidence, and disciplines the body and the mind. These components aid in classroom learning and social interaction, as well as emotional and spiritual formation.

 

 

 

Beyond team and intramural sports, all students participate in our Physical Education program, which seeks to improve coordination, learn proper technique, promote goal-setting, and examine the social contributions of physical activity. In the Spring, students take part in our annual Corrigan Family Fun Run which supports the Corrigan Tuition Scholarship.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's great to be an Eagle. Whether students are training for an athletic event, cheering in a pep rally, or joining in our school song, one thing is sure: Sophia Academy has school spirit! Our families and faculty love to come to sporting events to support our teams and cheer with pride, GO EAGLES!
